The company also provides vessel management services, including crewing, daily operational management, and maintenance activities for other vessel owners. It serves oilfield end-markets, including oilfield specialty and drilling; non-oilfield end-markets, including military support services, and renewable energy, as well as other non-oilfield services, such as HADR and aerospace support services. The company was formerly known as Hornbeck-Leevac Marine Services, Inc. and changed its name to Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. in May 2002. Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. was incorporated in 1997 and is based in Covington, Louisiana.
